Twenty

It's Sunday night of Jackson's twentieth week.  Finally I've found some time to update J's Journey.  The major news involves his reaction to the second round of vaccinations.  JJ was a little out of sorts to begin with the day we went to the doctor's office, so it may have been a combination of factors, but this time, though he handled the needles better, the cocktail of six vaccines affected his little body.  For the first time in many weeks, he couldn't sleep through the night, waking up several times and seeming generally unhappy and uncomfortable.  His poop changed colors, from his normal mustardy yellow to a pea soupy green (TMI?), so my theory was his digestive system took the brunt.

Happily, for more than a week now, he's back to normal.  Sleeping through the night, laughing and enjoying himself, making big strides in reaching and grabbing and rolling over.  These last things are amazing.  He went from being able to hold objects if placed directly in his hands to controlling his outstretched arms and touching, as he currently does with my beard.  He grabs on, and pulls hard!

He'll be five months on March 25th.  I hope I'll be able to update more to keep up with the things he's doing.  He seems very alert, catching anything in his line of sight, and is generally a happy baby, evidenced by his newly perfected "happy baby" yoga pose which I haven't yet captured on film.  Below, some recent pics.
