Everything continues to progress at such a fast pace. Tara tried rice cereal with J last Wednesday, and again on Thursday (I shot video then) and he took to it like the proverbial duck to water. It was as if he's been waiting for us to give him some FOOD his whole life. So cute watching him open wide and then pull his concentration face while he gums the contents. Rolling over consistently, including many times in a row today. On the verge of a crawl. Wants desperately to tell us what's on his mind but can't get his voicebox to cooperate. Today's attempts came out in hoarse-sounding fragments as he strained too hard, turning red in the process.
"Bah bah," we say to him. "Dah dah." Like his penchant for standing instead of working on his crawl, this kid wants to discuss the relative merits of existentialism before making his first clear sound.
Lately, he takes two hands and grabs Tara's face in a big, happy hug and tries to eat her nose. It's the best.
